The Fanny Crosby hymn “To God Be the Glory” was a favorite in our church when we were growing up. The first verse is a summary of the gospel and served as the foundation for “Great Things.” Scripture often uses that phrase to describe God and His works. He is the God “who does great things and unsearchable, marvelous things without number” (Job 5:9). Psalm 126:3 declares, “The Lord has done great things for us,” and in Luke 1:49 Mary says, “He who is mighty has done great things for me.” We hope this song will remind you of the great things God has done for us in providing salvation through Jesus Christ. — Steve & Vikki
